Phagocytic and chemiluminescent activity of blood neutrophils in patients with bladder cancer

BACKGROUND: Tumor microenvironment modulates (including with the help of metabolites) functional activity neutrophils that contribute to reprogramming antitumor into a protumor one.
 AIMS: To study phagocytic and chemiluminescent in patients bladder cancer (BC) under influence metabolites tumor vitro.
 MATERIALS AND METHODS: We examined 37 superficial BC (T1,а,isN0M0) considered 32 healthy individuals as control group. Neutrophils isolated from their blood were incubated vitro lactate, ADP, glutamate. Phagocytic was using flow cytometry, intensity respiratory burst evaluated via analysis.
 RESULTS: In BC, index (PhI) values are reduced compared sample (without metabolite exposure) when exposed glutamate, while effect lactate on cells causes an increase number PhI. Moreover, vitro, spontaneous zymosan-induced chemiluminescence decreases. ADP decrease only. Finally, indicators induced decrease.
 CONCLUSIONS: Under (products cells), population immature is stimulated, which leads myeloid suppressor inhibit immunity. Thus, modulate BC.
